The cultural heritage of Hälsingland
farmhouses
Hälsingland has preserved its rich heritage. The architecture and decoration of the old Hälsingland farmhouses are reknown and often make a lasting impression on visitors. The farmhouses are characterised by magnificent, stylish architecture with skilled craftmanship and richness of detail. There are many untouched, preserved interiors from the 18th century onwards throughout the province. This cultural treasure is now being brought into the limelight through the work of the project Hälsingegårdar.
